The chanting bag should be used while chanting Tulsimala. A supernatural energy is produced while chanting. Tulsimala should not be touched by anyone to store that supernatural energy in our body. If that energy is diverted from any other side, it becomes a birth. While chanting Tulsimala should not touch the ground, so chanting bag should be used.
